Maria Invited to Perform
in Edinburgh, Scotland

Maria Bamford has been invited to the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, to be held August 3-25 (Maria will perform on August 9-16). She lived there for a year in 1991-92 and performed improvisational comedy with TheaterSports, now known as The Bedlam Improverts. As an added bonus, Maria's mother is going to Edinburgh with her.

Maria in New Comedy Game Show:

Maria recently did a taping for a new game show on the Game Show Network. "National Lampoon's Funny Money" is a joint production of Budd Friedman Digital, In-Finn-ity Productions, Inc. and National Lampoon. The show features headlining comedy acts who perform their best material for the studio audience. Contestants answer questions about key elements in each comedian's act and try to predict audience reaction to clips of stand-up routines and other humorous material.

Budd Friedman sees "National Lampoon's Funny Money" as a fresh approach to showcasing stand-up comedy.

The series begins airing late Sunday nights in June and will later join the Game Show Network's daily schedule. Stay tuned for air dates of episodes featuring Maria.

Maria to Appear on
The Conan O'Brien Show

Maria has an appearance tentatively scheduled with Conan O'Brien on NBC in June. Exact air date will be announced on the website as soon as I get my grubby hands on the info.
